Where Silence Settles
This land, stretching from Kamakura to Enoshima,
was once a place where people living through times of war
quietly prayed for peace.
Even after the passing of centuries,
the sea breeze and fresh green light
remain unchanged,
still resting gently within this landscape.
In a world moving through uncertainty,
these scenes seem to speak softly to us
through the spirit of Zen.
I was raised in Japan, alongside that spirit.
To you,
wishing for peace somewhere beyond the sea—
this quietness,
and this prayer.
When you return home from Japan,
perhaps you will find yourself wanting
to hold someone you love.
